At 40ft x 20ft, the Buttermere lodge is an ideal size for any family. The open plan living space houses a large modern kitchen with multiple units, a built fridge freezer, microwave and oven, and a breakfast bar! There’s also a 4 seater dining table, 2 sets of French doors, a wall mounted fire place and a two 2-seater sofas

You’ll also have a washing machine in a separate utilities room with it’s own sink and worktop space. The master bedroom has a large king-sized bed, along with ample free standing and built-in storage space, and an modern en-suite with a shower, basin and WC.

Violet Bank Cockermouth

Experience the tranquility and beauty of the Northern Lake District here in Cockermouth. Set in 9 acres of gently sloping grassland on the outskirts of Cockermouth, you can enjoy the panoramic views across the vale of Lorton looking toward the Buttermere Fells.

In order to preserve the unique atmosphere of this clean, well cared for, family run park, commercial letting is not allowed.

Site Fees

We believe our site fees are below what you would expect for a park of this calibre in the Lake District. Site fees for these lodges is set to be £4000 for a 12 month season. Just one reason we are the most sought after park in the area.

Seasons on Violet Bank

Open all year round means you can get to experience the stunning lake district in all its glory every month from January to December.


We now have super fast wifi on the park. It is not a public wifi but rather, each lodge will be fitted with it’s own router inside and a small antenna outside. This will enable each caravan to have it’s own secure network between all devices from mobile phones and tablets to laptops and smart TVs.

Each new lodge bought will include a cabled internet service and wifi router to enable superfast internet, tv and mobiles.

What to expect

We are a family run park and as an owner you will become part of the community. A friendly atmosphere but also a place to keep yourself to yourself if thats what you want.

Many of owners have been here for 20 or more years and have an in depth knowledge of the area and are always willing to offer advice on where to find the hidden gems of the area such as special restaurants, walks or viewpoints.

We do not operate a high pressure sales environment. We don’t need to.

Our park sells itself and stock always goes quickly, so it is always a case of first come first served.

There is already a lot of interest in these lodges and at £150-£159,995 you can guarantee they will sell like hot cakes!
